. . . . Claxton & Sand Hutton Community Defibrillators Sponsors . . . .
The Community Heartbeat Trust provided literature and lots of help and guidance and in June 2012 Liz and Bill initiated the Defibrillator Appeal to raise the required funds.
Leafleting and sending out the Community E-news to every household and writing numerous letters to businesses and charities soon resulted in donations being received, initially from villagers and then through the help of Clare Wood our local Councillor from North Yorkshire County Council we secured our largest donation. This was followed by York Lions Club, Claxton & Sand Hutton Parish Council, Rose Trading, Therapy in Praxis, York Round Table, Strensall & District Patients Fund, Aims Construction, Aldbyfield Nurseries and surplus money from the discontinued crime watch in Claxton & Sand Hutton, the appeal continued and the support that was received was so rewarding.
Community Heartbeat
"Community Heratbeat Trust" provided literature and lots of help and guidance through Neil Marsay of the North Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Following the successful fund raising Martin Fagan of the "Community Heratbeat Trust" came to the village hall and instructed everybody on how to use the Defibrillators.

the local community - they also help any national and International disasters etc. They found our project to be a worthy of a donation to help this life saving scheme.
As an example, they are donating £300 to two lads (this coming Saturday evening at the Ship Strensall) who recently cycled around the world to raise £20,000 to Wateraid in an attempt to
eradicate river blindness caused by unclean drinking water.
It's been a good week supporting your project at
